Name
3-hydroxy-4-methylanthranilyl-[aryl-carrier protein] 5-monooxygenase;
sibG (gene name)
Class
Oxidoreductases;
Acting on paired donors, with incorporation or reduction of molecular oxygen;
With NADH or NADPH as one donor, and incorporation of one atom of oxygen into the other donor
Sysname
3-hydroxy-4-methylanthranilyl-[aryl-carrier protein],NADH:oxygen oxidoreductase (5-hydroxylating)
Reaction(IUBMB)
3-hydroxy-4-methylanthranilyl-[aryl-carrier protein] + NADH + H+ + O2 = 3,5-dihydroxy-4-methylanthranilyl-[aryl-carrier protein] + NAD+ + H2O [RN:R11424]
Reaction(KEGG)
R11424
Substrate
3-hydroxy-4-methylanthranilyl-[aryl-carrier protein] [CPD:C21375];
NADH [CPD:C00004];
H+ [CPD:C00080];
O2 [CPD:C00007]
Product
3,5-dihydroxy-4-methylanthranilyl-[aryl-carrier protein] [CPD:C21376];
NAD+ [CPD:C00003];
H2O [CPD:C00001]
Comment
A flavoprotein (FAD). The enzyme, characterized from the bacterium Streptosporangium sibiricum, is involved in the biosynthesis of the antitumor antibiotic sibiromycin. The enzyme is not active with free 3-hydroxy-4-methylanthranilate.
