A cytochrome P-450 (heme-thiolate) protein. The protein from the fungus Aspergillus fumigatus also has activity with tryprostatin B forming demethoxyfumitremorgin C. Involved in the biosynthetic pathways of several indole alkaloids such as fumitremorgins and verruculogen.
