CoA pyrophosphatase;
coenzyme A pyrophosphatase;
CoA diphosphohydrolase;
Nudt19;
Nudt7;
thnR (gene name)
Class
Hydrolases;
Acting on acid anhydrides;
In phosphorus-containing anhydrides
Sysname
coenzyme A 4'-phosphopantetheine phosphohydrolase
Reaction(IUBMB)
coenzyme A + H2O = adenosine 3',5'-bisphosphate + 4'-phosphopantetheine
Substrate
coenzyme A [CPD:C00010];
H2O [CPD:C00001]
Product
adenosine 3',5'-bisphosphate [CPD:C00054];
4'-phosphopantetheine [CPD:C01134]
Comment
The enzyme belongs to the Nudix hydrolase family. It has been reported from bacteria, yeast, and mammals. Activity is higher with oxidized disulfide CoA than with reduced CoA.
