KEGG   ENZYME: 7.4.2.13
Entry
EC 7.4.2.13                 Enzyme
Name
ABC-type tyrosine transporter
Class
Translocases;
Catalysing the translocation of amino acids and peptides;
Linked to the hydrolysis of a nucleoside triphosphate
Sysname
ATP phosphohydrolase (ABC-type, L-tyrosine-importing)
Reaction(IUBMB)
ATP + H2O + L-tyrosinyl-[tyrosine-binding protein][side 1] = ADP + phosphate + L-tyrosine[side 2] + [tyrosine-binding protein][side 1]
Substrate
ATP [CPD:C00002];
H2O [CPD:C00001];
L-tyrosinyl-[tyrosine-binding protein][side 1]
Product
ADP [CPD:C00008];
phosphate [CPD:C00009];
L-tyrosine[side 2];
[tyrosine-binding protein][side 1]
Comment
An ATP-binding cassette (ABC) type transporter, characterized by the presence of two similar ATP-binding domains/proteins and two integral membrane domains/proteins. The enzyme, found in Clostridioides, interacts with an extracytoplasmic substrate binding lipoprotein and mediates the import of L-tyrosine. L-phenylalanine is also tranported however with lower efficiency.
